Easter 2010

This year we spent Easter with my family at my parents house. My grandma, aunt and uncle, and cousins were there as well. It was actually a very nice day out so the Easter Egg Hunt was quite a success. My cousin's daughter, Alexis, and Audrey had fun hunting for eggs. They didn't like the bunny ears quite as much though.

Next Generation Ball Player

It looks like we will have quite the ball player to carry on the family tradition. Dave of course has already made sure to show Audrey how to properly hold the bat. It was driving him crazy when she was holding it wrong. But I guess whatever he told her worked, because now whenever she picks up the bat she pays special attention to how her hands are placed.

Audrey Turns 2!

I can't believe Audrey is 2 already! I know it is such a cliche, but it seems just like yesterday she was born and we were bouncing up and down on the exercise ball to get her to stop crying!
As Audrey is in love with Mickey Mouse, we threw a Mickey themed birthday party. Lots of family and friends were able to come and we had a great time. We kept asking her how old she was and she kept putting up her pointer finger and saying "one"! I guess we needed to work on that more with her.
Since we are an ice cream loving family, we decided to not go with the traditional cake and opted for an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen instead. For those who are more traditional, we did have cupcakes to go with it.
Audrey definitely has figured out how to open presents. She just tore into one and went on to the next. She also got her first bike this year. Hopefully she'll learn how to pedal on her own so Dave and I don't have to push her on it all summer.

Audrey to be a Big Sister!

That's right, Audrey will become a big sister in October! We are very excited for our new addition to our family. The official due date is October 13th.

This pregnancy is definitely a complete 180 from my first one. I have not been feeling well since week 5. I have been extremely tired and am on prescription nausea medication. Fortunately I have begun to feel better and only take the medication on an as needed basis instead of regularly every day. Now that I am officially in my second trimester, hopefully I will continue to feel better and better.

We of course will find out the gender, but we are betting on it being a boy since it is so different from my first pregnancy. We will find out at the end of May, so stay posted.

This is also the reason for the lack of posts to the blog lately. I hope to get caught up with recent events this weekend.
